Mephiles and Iblis, Chap 2

I saw the creature made out of flames going down in the endless fire under it. But, Silver reacted otherwise I was thinking he would. That was perfect. Now I was able to mess up the time once again. A evil smile appeared on my face. “How can we finally destroy Iblis?”, the young silver hedgehog under me screamed.

“By knowing the truth, of course.” Silver and Blaze turned around. They looked up. “Just as a chicken comes from an egg, or a flower comes from a seed. Everything has it´s origin. You have to find the one who was bringing our world into that catastrophy.” Silver looked interested. Stupid, naïve kid.

“Mephiles. Do you think we´ll be able to survive?” Iblis sure was scared, and so was the hedgehog next to her. “I… Don´t know.”, he said, looking into the dark sky. Most of the beautiful forests were burning. The humans arrived, and left destruction and death behind them. Hegehogs, Echidnas… Nothing and nobody was able to flee. All creatures were ment to end in a bloody fight, which they never could win.

Iblis took Mephiles´ hand after hearing a scream coming out of the forest. “Don´t be afraid. They won´t get us. Not if I am with you.” The crystaline hedgehog was trying to take away her fear, but he was scared, too. Suddenly, they were surrounded by humans. “Hah! Looks like we found a beauty and a demon right here!”, one of the humans said, laughing.

“Iblis! RUN!” The two hedgehogs were running away, and they knew, the humans were following them.

I sent us, Silver. Blaze and me back to the past. I just wanted to see. Two freedom fighters back in the past. Would those two really kill someone innocent? But for now, I just wanted to mess a bit around. Team Dark was sure a good choice, I thought and went after them.

Iblis POV:

My anger was gone. How did I end up here? Why was everything burned away? Why were here no living people? The only one I saw, were dead. Was I back in this time again? But, if I was, were was Mephiles? Was he dead, too? I think I never saw such a sad place before. Then I heared a cry. There was someone. And he was alive.

I looked around me. There, most invincible, there was a kid. A grey wolf. “Hey, you? Are you alright?”, I asked, and the wolf looked into my face. It was a girl, not older than 9. “I´m fine. Thank you, miss.”, she said and stood up. “Where are your parents?” “I… they were eaten by the flames.”

So, she was alone too. But, still… how did it get back to life? Why was this happening? “I´m Luzifa. What´s your name, miss?” “Iblis.” The wolf looked scared. “Why are you called like the flames that are destroying our world?” “I… I don´t know…” Luzifa smiled. “Oh well. Why am I called like a creature that lived more than 600 years ago, who killed people without any purpose?”, she asked, a strange smile on her face.

I just felt I had to protect her. I swear it by the name of the Chaos Emeralds. This innocent kid won´t get hurt. And I´ll bring her to a safer place. That´s what I thought after Luzifa sighed. We were both some lonely souls, lost in a destroyed world. Without a place to hide.

A bright day, the sun was already going down. I just remember his smile. He was one of the lonely people in my clan. Mephiles. I decided to talk to him that morning. And I got his friend. I never felt so happy before.This was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. Nothing would ever be able to come between us. We were one united part.
