Shadouge-Story, part 1

“It´s been almost six years, genius!”, the white bat shouted at her teammate. The black hedgehog just shrugged, walking away. But the bat didn´t give up that easily. “Do you know how I felt the last six years? I thought you got lost somewhere, that you died fighting someone, that you lie somewhere badly injured, that you´ve formed a new team, without me and the old red trashcan… Do you actually know how it feels to be that alone all day and night?” The black hedgehog went away. “Shadow! Come back here!”

Rouge sure was angry at him, but she also was happy to see him still alive… and as arrogant as before. Usually a good thing, but now, after she almost gave him her heart with those words, she felt the anger grow. “SHADOW!” Now he stood. Still, and he didn´t move. “What now?”, he growled back.

“I missed you, you stupid idiot!”, she shouted back, falling to the ground and cried. She just cried out what she held back the last six years. Then she heard steps. And then she felt someones arms around her. Shadpow finally came back, and he hugged her. “Shh. Calm down.”

“… and so I ended up here again, right in front of you.”, Shadow finished. It was almost evening, and they´ve been walking for hours now. Shadow explained what he did the last years, and so did Rouge before he started. Now they were totally lost.

“Where are we?” “I don´t know, I haven´t been here before…” The whole place was silent. “Whatever… I don´t… Ugh…”

It happened to fast. A dark shadow from nowhere sprung at Shadow, and he fell down. “Shadow!” The black hedgehog didn´t move. “No!” Rouge grabbed him, and yelled for help. But there was no one around. So she had to do something. She ran around, still yelling and looking around. Then finally… “A house! HELLO! HELLO! HELP!”

A quite old looking hedgehog came out of it. “What?”, he asked, a bit sleepy. Rouge mentioned that it was in the middle of the night now. “Please, there was some kind of shadow, and it attacked my friend, and…” The hedgehog was faster than Rouge expected. Both ran back to the place where Shadow was still lying.
