Shadouge story part 3

“Grand Metropolis? Rouge, what has this in common with… Uargh!” Rouge already had taken Shadow´s hand and rushed down the sidewalk. Shadow himself was trying not to fall, and Rouge laughed. “You were saying, Black?”, she giggled and turned to him, still running straight ahead. “What… are… we doing here? I thought we´re looking for Omega!” Rouge bursted out in laughter. “Omega is here in Grand Metropolis, Silly.” Shadow rolled his eyes. “No way. I thought he´d be either in a abadoned base, or in Metropolis itself, but…”

“Did you listen to me when I explained to you? I said he´s the leader of the securitybots her ein the city!” “It was 3 in the morning, and next, I´m a hedgehog, not a bat, besides, I´m used to sleep at that…” Shadow yawned and immediately fell over his own feet. “Umph…” But then he realized, that the floor was moving itself. “Duh… Rouge? Since when are ALL floors moving here? I thought it was just some some of them…?”

Again sha laughed. “Genius, you´ve been away for a long time, and who said the new government isn´t allowed to redo something?” When Rouge looked at him again, he looked even more confused. ´An unusual look… Hehehe…´, she thought before she started again. “Then you´re not that up-to-date, are you? If you´ve ever been up-to-date… you always seemed to be… Forget that. Well, there have been several things that happened here.” “Then tell.” Rouge took a deep breathe.

“Well. Shortly after you left us all, Sonic was injured badly. I myself was called by GUN to look for the guy who did that to him, and I never saw the others again. I don´t know if Sonic survived it, or not. But really, that isn´t something I want to know. Anyway, I was gone myself for two years, and you know what happened. I never found that guy. But, when I came back, there wasn´t the old GUN commander anymore. It was a guy I´ve never seen before. He wasn´t nice to me, and just said that the old commander went away, and that I was fired, like any Mobian. Also, if I ever see you again, that you are too. And… if we dare to get near him, we will be haunted… I don´t like to say it, but that guy hates us for no reason… Uh, anyway, Omega himself was offered a job here and said yes… I went back to treasure hunting… But still, there is something going on here in Grand Metropolis. The old government disappeared over night and was replaced by a strange guy… Uhh…”

Shadow said nothing. He just stared straight ahead. “Are you… alright?”, Rouge asked. Shadow shoke his head. “Weren´we looking for Omega? Look, over there.”

Some hours later…

“Unbelievable! That traitor…! When I get him, then his mind will be DEAD!” Rouge angrily shoke her head. “Keep cool. Didn´t you see that he was reprogrammed?” “Did he really have to ruin my make-up?” Shadow giggled. “I´m sure we get out of here.” Rouge rolled her eyes. “You never listen to people? That insane reprogrammed robot said he´ll report the fact that we are here to the commander.”

“That´ll lead… into trouble…”
